Velvet Fern Press is a one-woman lesbian press making anthologies, zines, games, and other print projects that celebrate the humor, heart, and depth of lesbian culture. Everything created under the Velvet Fern name is designed, written, and crafted by a lesbian, grounded in lived experience, community connection, and a deep love for lesbian creativity in all its forms.
Our work is about reflecting, preserving, and expanding lesbian life through print. Some projects are co-created with a wider community of lesbians, others come from a sudden spark of inspiration—a playful card deck, a small zine, a collection of voices brought together on the page. Each one is a tangible piece of lesbian storytelling. We believe in print as something you can hold: a way to keep our history close, document our present, and imagine what comes next.
Velvet Fern Press centers lesbian voices, ideas, and cultural production in everything it makes. While anyone is welcome to read, enjoy, and support the work, Velvet Fern exists first and foremost for lesbians—with the intention of uplifting, entertaining, and connecting our community through handmade, accessible print media.
